Advanced prosthetic solutions for a new era of rehabilitation
The rapid evolution of prosthetic dentistry has entered in a new era of the integrated rehabilitation. Advanced prosthetic solutions now combine digital technologies, innovative biomaterials, and interdisciplinary treatment planning to address increasingly patients’ complex clinical demands.
This presentation explores contemporary approaches of the prosthetic rehabilitation, focusing on fixed, removable, and implant-supported restorations tailored to functional, aesthetic, and biologically patient needs.
Research groups and dental specialists focus on digital workflows, including intraoral scanning, computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM), and guided surgical–prosthetic planning, which have significantly improved precision, predictability, and treatment efficiency. Advanced biomaterials—such as high-strength ceramics, hybrid composites, and bioactive surfaces—are discussed in relation to their mechanical performance, long-term stability, and biological compatibility. Prosthetic solutions for partially and fully edentulous patients, including hybrid prostheses and full-arch implant-supported restorations, are discussed. The presentation also highlights the importance of a holistic rehabilitation concept, integrating occlusion, esthetics, phonetics, and patient-centered outcomes. Special consideration is given to patients requiring complex rehabilitation, where risk assessment and interdisciplinary collaboration are essential.
In conclusion, advanced prosthetic solutions represent a paradigm shift from conventional replacement strategies toward personalized, digitally driven, and biologically oriented rehabilitation. By aligning technological innovation with clinical expertise, modern dentistry plays a pivotal role in improving oral function, quality of life, and long-term treatment success in contemporary dental practice.
